Dad's Voice
July 7, 2026

Yesterday, Men Behaving Dadly had the privilege of attending #EvidenceWeek 2026 in Parliament, kindly hosted by Sense about Science. It was a fantastic opportunity to hear how research and evidence can help shape better policy and ensure the voices of fathers and families are part of those conversations.
The event brought together UK researchers, charities, members of the public and MPs to discuss the latest evidence across a wide range of topics, including healthcare, employment, the cost of living, education, AI and innovation. It was inspiring to see so many people asking important questions and exploring how evidence can help inform better policy decisions.
A huge thank you to Chris and Steven, who proudly represented Men Behaving Dadly and spoke directly with MPs about issues that matter to dads and families.
The discussions focused on the importance of evidence in shaping better paternity leave policies and recognising how employers can better support new fathers. We also highlighted the need for a fairer family justice system, where fathers’ experiences are properly understood and evidence is used to improve outcomes for children and families.
Alongside these conversations, we also explored the importance of supporting fathers’ mental health and wellbeing, and the growing evidence that father-inclusive services, like those provided by Men Behaving Dadly, make a real difference to children, families and communities.
We’re incredibly proud to be helping ensure fathers’ voices are heard where policy is made.
A huge thank you to Sense about Science for inviting us to be part of such an inspiring event and giving us the opportunity to engage directly with MPs, researchers and fellow organisations committed to evidence-based policy.
And finally, another massive thank you to Chris and Steven for representing Men Behaving Dadly so brilliantly in Parliament—you did us proud!

(And yes… there was time for a well-earned pub lunch too!
